Paki Maui is set on two oceanfront acres in Honokowai — the section of West Maui coast between Ka’anapali and Kapalua where the pace slows down and the condo complexes face the channel without the resort pricing.
The first two buildings went up in a boomerang shape that bends toward the shoreline; a third building followed behind the southern wing. Most units have direct or angled ocean views of Molokai and Lanai from private lanais.
The property sits right next to Honokowai Beach Park — a county park with a sandy beach, tidepools, a pair of playgrounds, and shaded picnic tables.
A heated pool and hot tub sit on the oceanfront side of the buildings, with gas BBQ grills and a large grassy lawn lined with lounge chairs running along the water.
The reef-protected waters directly below the property make for calm wading and snorkeling on most days. During whale season (December through April), humpbacks pass through the channel close enough to watch from the pool deck or your lanai.
While Paki Maui is situated right on the water, beach sizes in Maui are prone to seasonal shifts and tide changes.
Paki Maui units do not have air conditioning — cooling comes from trade winds and ceiling fans throughout. Laundry is shared on-site on each floor. Open parking is available; register your vehicle at the front desk (one vehicle per unit). No resort fees. All three buildings have elevators.
Ka’anapali Beach and Whalers Village are about ten to fifteen minutes south. Kapalua Resort is roughly fifteen minutes north for golf and fine dining. Times Supermarket and a handful of local restaurants and cafés are within a few minutes’ drive in the Honokowai corridor.
Maui’s west coast runs from Kapalua Bay to Ka’anapali, with some of the island’s best beach access and coastal trails in between.
