Polynesian Shores sits Oceanfront on Two Acres Above the Reef
Polynesian Shores is 52 units across three two-story buildings set on two oceanfront acres in the Honokowai corridor.
Buildings A and C sit perpendicular to the shore closest to the water; Building B is set back slightly but faces the ocean head-on, so most units catch at least a partial ocean view regardless of position.
A heated oceanfront pool and gas BBQ grills with outdoor dining areas sit between the buildings and the shoreline. The reef-protected waters below the property are calm enough for wading and snorkeling on most days, and the rocky coastline here draws green sea turtles year-round.
During whale season (December through April), humpbacks pass through the channel between Maui and Molokai close enough to watch from poolside or your lanai.
While Polynesian Shores is situated right on the water, beach sizes in Maui are prone to seasonal shifts and tide changes.
MPP Vacations manages one- and two-bedroom units here. Polynesian Shores units do not have air conditioning — cooling comes from trade winds and ceiling fans throughout. Laundry is shared on-site with coin-operated washers and dryers.
Parking is designated by unit number — park only in your assigned stall, as the property enforces towing. No resort fees.
The property is primarily one-bedrooms — 44 of the 52 units — with floor plans running from roughly 555 to 685 square feet. The remaining units are a mix of two- and three-bedrooms at around 853 square feet. All units come with fully equipped kitchens, dishwashers, and private lanais.
Ka’anapali Beach and Whalers Village are about ten to fifteen minutes south. Napili Bay and Kapalua Resort are roughly ten to fifteen minutes north for protected beach swimming, championship golf, and fine dining.
Honokowai Beach Park — a county park with tidepools, a sandy beach, playgrounds, and picnic tables — is a short drive south. Times Supermarket and local restaurants in the Honokowai corridor are within a few minutes for groceries and everyday errands.
Every reservation at Polynesian Shores includes free daily activities through our Xplorie partnership and the MPP Starter Kit: starter toiletries, paper goods, and dishwasher detergent — plus beach towels, beach chairs, and a cooler for your stay.
