Kaleialoha: Direct Oceanfront on the Honokowai Coast
Set along the Honokowai coast between Kāʻanapali and Kapalua, Kaleialoha is known for its peaceful oceanfront setting, walkable location and front row views. The seawall in front of the property is a year-round haul-out and grazing spot for honu, and morning regulars on the lanai will tell you they stopped counting after the third or fourth sighting before breakfast. Maui Paradise Properties manages several direct oceanfront condos at Kaleialoha, where furnished lanais overlook the Pacific and the sound of the ocean carries through the day and into the night.
The units we manage at Kaleialoha are a mix of one-bedroom condos and studios, with the one-bedrooms running about 598 square feet and sleeping up to four. The standard one-bedroom layout pairs a king or queen bed in the bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, a walk-in shower, a flat-screen TV in both the living room and bedroom, and access to paid laundry facilities on site. Lanais are furnished and many face the Pacific, with sunset light running west across the channel toward Lanaʻi and Molokaʻi.
One practical detail worth knowing before you book: AC offerings vary by unit at Kaleialoha — the resort doesn’t run on central air, so each unit is set up with a unique arrangement. Ceiling fans run throughout every unit, and the steady West Maui trade winds carry the rest. When you book, our team can match you to a unit whose AC setup fits your trip.
On the property side, Kaleialoha keeps things low-density and quiet: a heated swimming pool, a gas BBQ grill and lounging area on the lawn, elevator access, on-site assigned parking included with the stay, and no resort fees. The shoreline directly out front is rocky-and-sand mixed, ideal for snorkeling off the seawall and watching for humpback whales in season (December through April). Kaʻanapali Beach and Whalers Village sit a 5–10 minute drive south, with Honolua Bay and the Kapalua beaches a 5–15 minute drive north.
For broader planning, our things to do in West Maui guide and the wider Maui Paradise Properties rentals page are useful starting points; the Kaʻanapali area page covers the closest beaches and the resort-area dining. Every reservation at Kaleialoha includes free daily Xplorie activities and the MPP Starter Kit — toiletries, paper goods, beach chairs, towels, and a cooler ready for you on arrival.
