Kaanapali Shores sits Beachfront on North Kaʻanapali
Kaanapali Shores sits directly on North Kaʻanapali Beach in West Maui — 10-acre Aston-operated resort with the kind of amenity stack guests build full days around.
There’s an oceanfront “mature” pool tucked next to the Beach Club restaurant for adult-leaning afternoons, and a separate lagoon-style courtyard pool with a shallow shelf, and waterfalls for families with kids who’d rather splash.
Tennis and pickleball courts share a corner with shuffleboard; a fitness center (accessible for a fee), day spa, and a small gallery of gift shops run along the lobby corridor; and Black Rock — the snorkel-and-sunset focal point of Kaʻanapali — is a short drive down the beach.
The condos Maui Paradise Properties manages at Kaanapali Shores span studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom layouts across the property’s eleven low-rise buildings. The 2-bedroom condos run roughly 990 square feet and sleep up to six; the 1-bedrooms and studios sleep up to four.
MPP units have central air conditioning throughout, ceiling fans, in-unit washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and oven, smart streaming TVs in the living room and bedrooms, and a private lanai. View orientation varies by unit position — oceanfront, partial ocean, or interior courtyard. Many MPP units feature an in-unit washer and dryer, and coin-operated laundry is also available, as most studio units do not include the in-unit washer and dryer combo at Kaʻanapali Shores. When you book, our team can match you to a unit whose laundry setup fits your trip — say so up front and we’ll filter accordingly.
A couple of practical details worth knowing before you book: parking at Kaanapali Shores is not free — As of June 2026, the resort collects an $11.95 daily parking fee at check-in. Also, the fitness center is an optional $10-per-person-per-day additional fee. When you book, the MPP team can match you to a view orientation that fits your trip.
On the property side, beyond the two pools and the two hot tubs, Kaanapali Shores has on-site dining at the Beach Club restaurant (poolside service through the day) — useful for guests who want resort-style service without leaving the property. Direct beach access from the back lawn puts swimmable Kaʻanapali sand at your feet.
For broader planning, our things to do in West Maui guide and the wider Maui Paradise Properties rentals page cover dining and day trips; the Kaʻanapali area page covers nearby beaches and resort-area dining. Whalers Village (the main Kaʻanapali shopping center, with Hula Grill and Leilani’s) is a 5–10 minute drive south; the Kaʻanapali Kai and Royal Kaʻanapali golf courses sit a similar distance away
During humpback whale season (December through April) the channel offshore brings whale activity close to the beach. Every reservation booked direct with MPP Vacations at Kaʻanapali Shores includes free daily Xplorie activities and the MPP Starter Kit — toiletries, paper goods, beach chairs, towels, and a cooler ready for you on arrival.
